Come to the EVERY VOTE COUNTS! Rally this Sunday November 5th
November 2nd, 2006 by lizeWORD and AWR Women and Men for Bell invite all progressive voters–Democrat and independent–to the Every Vote Counts! Rally this Sunday (11/5) 1:00 to 3:00 at Wooldridge Square Park (9th and Guadalupe). We’re gathering in Austin’s historic park, complete with balloons and lemonade, to get ready for a great Election Day by reminding our city that every vote counts!
What: The Every Vote Counts! Rally
When: Sunday November 5th 1:00 to 3:00
Where: Wooldridge Square Park (9th and Guadalupe)
Who: All Central Texas voters ready to take Texas back! Everyone’s welcome–women, men, kids, babies, grandparents, teachers, techies, Democrats, independents, Republicans who’ve had it with political corruption, carnivores, and vegetarians.
Why: This election is too important to let “protest” votes and traditional party rivalries put Rick Perry back in the Governor’s Mansion. When Democrats and independents come together, all Texans win. As Democrats, we believe that our party’s candidates and platform will work for the best interest of all Texans, not just Republican politicians and their corporate backers.
What You Can Do: Come! Spread the word. Invite your friends to come. Bring a bell to ring! Help us serve lemonade. Blow up balloons. Email your book group, your neighbors, your work buddies, your kids’ scout troop.
And everywhere you go, remind everyone you see that every vote counts!
See you Sunday in the park!
